The financial statements for February are completed just in time to meet this month’s newsletter deadline. We reached the conclusion of 2023 with a wonderful response to our finances. Our offerings for December were $130,536 which is about 13% higher than those received in December of 2022. These added to the rest of the year’s offerings, total a little over $791,000. When other income is added to this, our total General Fund income for 2023 is almost $820,000.  This is about 1.5% more than we received in 2022. The Finance Committee would like to share a summary of Zion’s financial condition as of the end of November.  When comparing our income/offerings to the General Fund from November this year to that of last year, we were down by about $5400 per Sunday or 26%.  For the year so far, our giving and other income is almost identical to that of a year ago at this time.  So far this year we have spent a little over $70,000 more

We have now completed the first half of 2023.  The following summarizes Zion’s financial condition as of the end of June.  Our General Fund offering/income continues to exceed that which we had in 2022 by about 5%.  Average weekly income this year to date is $14,724.  However, expenses for the same period are also increasing due to personnel changes, increased participation in our volunteer ministry, and vastly increasing activity in both the Children and Family ministry and in the Youth

The Finance Committee would like to share the following information about Zion’s finances as of the end of April 2023. Our General Fund income/offering for the month of April was about $81,000 which is almost 3% lower than what was received in April of 2022. For the first four months of this year, our average weekly income/offering is $15,214 which is up about 1% over this time last year. Expenses for the General Fund for the year to date are up

The income/offering to the General Fund in March again exceeds that given in March of 2022.  This month’s increase amounts to almost $1,800 per Sunday.  At the same time, our General Fund expenses for the month have exceeded our monthly income by about $29,000.  This month’s deficit is primarily due to greater participation in our youth programs (a wonderful problem!), increased food costs for the Wednesday Night Suppers, and an additional payroll. Contributions to the General Fund continue to exceed our giving of last year. In February those amounted to about $51,000 which is 11.5% more than last February.
