Contributions to the General Fund continue to exceed our giving of last year. In February those amounted to about $51,000 which is 11.5% more than last February. Expenses for the month exceeded our income by about $9,800. These are only 1.4% greater than those of a year ago. For the year so far our giving to the General Fund is around $129,400. Financial Update 2023.01

The January financial reports are another reminder that Zion is moving forward with confidence.  Our January offerings to the General Fund were a little over $75,000 which is about 10.5% above those given in January 2022.  Our General Fund expenses were about $5,500 greater than last January, most of which is attributable to an increase in personnel – another sign of our moving forward.  Still, our income exceeded our expenses for the month.  Our next financial challenge will come when

Zion finished 2022 with some excellent financial news. Our average weekly General Fund income for the year was about $15,500 which is about $400 per week greater than we had in 2021. This represents an overall increase of 2.66%. Our December giving to the General Fund was up over 14% compared to the same month in 2021. September was an encouraging financial month for Zion.  Our General Fund income/offering for the month was 6.6% higher than what we received in September 2021.  Our weekly average income for the month was just a few dollars short of $15,000.   For the year to date, we are still lagging behind last year’s income by 3.2%.  But with more months like September, we will be closing that gap. Our expenses for September are considerably greater than they were a year ago.

The Finance Committee would like to share the following information. For the month of August, total General Fund income was almost $50,500. Last year we received August income of a little over $66,500.  [Edit to add: August 2021 had 5 Sundays and August 2022 had 4.] For the year to date, we have had income of about $477,500 which is about $21,000 less than what was received up to this point in 2021.
