Kris grew up in the small town of Wheaton, MN. She and her husband Jack are both retired educators and have lived in Buffalo for 42 years. During my last 12 years in education, I served as the principal at Maple Lake Elementary School. Our oldest daughter, Abby, teaches 3rd grade in Monticello and our youngest daughter, Anna, teaches English at Buffalo High School. Both of our daughters and their families live in Buffalo. Chuck Zumbusch was elected to the Zion Council last year for a one-year term. He also serves on the Stewardship Committee, and has previously served on the last Capital Campaign, Finance Committee, and helped with the annual external review of the books and records testing and attestation work. Dirk and Sue Foster have been members of Zion since moving to Buffalo in 1992. Dirk has served on various committees over the years including on the council on three separate occasions. Most recently, he served as President of the council in 2019 and 2020. 2022 will be Dirk’s last year on the Council but he will continue to serve on the Property Committee and Cemetery Committee. He will also stay involved with the Wednesday Morning Workers when his work schedule allows.
Entering my second year on Zion’s Church Council, and a second year on the Executive Committee as treasurer, I am thankful for a faith journey that includes the capable people I serve with.
