Zion’s Wednesday morning workers have been meeting for about three years. Just as the name implies, every Wednesday morning in the spring and fall, the group gets together to do whatever jobs are needed around Zion and Zion’s properties. Zion Cemetery Update

During its spring meeting, the Zion Cemetery Board approved a number of improvements at the Zion Cemetery for the summer of 2023. The Zion cemetery is located about two miles south of the church, at the intersection of Hwy 25 and 10th Street SE, and was the location of the original Carlslund Lutheran Church building. Cemetery Changes

The Zion cemetery board held its winter meeting in early March and approved significant modifications to Zion cemetery this summer. Last summer, Zion purchased 3 acres surrounding the cemetery. The purchase extended the cemetery about 50 feet further to the south of the existing property line and also to the east (see the associated land plot photo).
