Annual Festival

The first annual festival was held in December, 1979, as a fundraiser for refugee families. The first event included a craft sale, bake sale, and craft demonstrations. Over the years, Harvest of Hands has grown to include a ‘White Elephant’ room, brunch, silent auction, sweater sale, and more. Proceeds went to ELCA World Hunger for many years, and more recently to the Buffalo Food Shelf, Heifer Project International, and Truckload of Life food packing projects for The Outreach Program.

Craft Groups

All are welcome at the craft sessions, either to work on the planned projects or to bring your own projects and enjoy the morning or evening with friends. Meeting dates are listed in the sidebar. New volunteers are welcome. Contact Joy Arens with craft suggestions.

Crafters can also work on projects at home. Supplies are available for home projects, including some in pre-packaged kits, available near the Information Desk. Help yourself to the kits, and return the completed items. Contact Joy Arens for other supplies. If you have been working on crafts at home, they can be brought to the Wilderness Room (behind the kitchen) any time, and left on the table.
