Zion 's team will be traveling to the Village of Hope in Zambia in June. These are items that the Village of Hope has asked us to bring to them. Donations of these items purchased elsewhere, as well as donations of yarn, sturdy deflated sports balls, and ball pumps, can be dropped off in the church office.

Change for Children

Noticing the needs of our neighbors and responding with compassion, generosity, and care is an important part of our faith. One of the ways we live that out each year is through our Change for Children Lenten giving project.
Throughout Lent (which begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18th), Zion Kids are invited to bring in spare change as a way of learning that even small gifts—offered with love—can make a real difference. This year, our gifts will support Wright County Community Action, an organization that serves our neighbors through nutrition, education, housing, and self-sufficiency programs.
We will especially highlight the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program, which meets right here at Zion each month. You can find more information about WIC and other programs here.
A small change container will go home with the kids tomorrow Sunday February 8th. Children are encouraged to add to it throughout the week and bring it back each Sunday during Lent. Along the way, we’ll also have fun dress-up Sundays to help keep this practice visible, joyful, and front-of-mind for our kids—and for all of us.

March 22nd-Flannel Day
March 29th- Dress Your Best (Palm Sunday-Sunday School children sing in worship!)

You are invited to attend New Member Connect. This is for both those who are brand new to Zion and those who have been around for many years and just not gotten around to becoming an official member.
Membership is one way of connecting to this faith community. Membership affirms that we are connected together for the mission of this congregation and for the mutual development of our faith in Christ Jesus. “New Member Connect” is an opportunity to spend time in conversation with Zion pastors, staff, and others and to find out more about our mission and vision before committing to membership.
Gather in the Sacred Grounds youth room, where we will have a comfortable spot waiting for you! Children are welcome and the nursery is open and staffed during this time as well. Coffee, juice, and light breakfast choices will be provided.

Summer is the right time to enjoy the fresh air of the historic Marysville Church as you hear pastors preach about faith-filled life lessons and sing the old favorite hymns. Worship begins at 7pm each Monday, starting June 1. This beautiful historic country church is located among farmland on County Road 9 between Buffalo and Waverly.
Just remember … this is a little country church with no modern amenities. Worship will be held if the temperature is above 60° and below 90° and the heat index is below 95° at 6pm that day. Worship will be canceled if there is a severe weather warning such as tornado or severe thunderstorm for the immediate area. Cancellations will be posted on Zion’s Facebook page and on KRWC radio by 6pm.
