7pm Monday (Summer)

Each summer (June-August) Zion offers members and friends the opportunity to worship at our historic Marysville church, with worship beginning at 7pm each Monday evening.

How Do I Choose?

All worship services include the sermon, children’s message, prayers, etc. None of them are ‘better’ than another. The primary factor is your health, risk factors, and comfort level … indoors, in your car, or in your home.

Holy Communion

All Christians instructed in its meaning are invited to participate in communion. We celebrate holy communion at God’s table so whether you are a visitor or a member, you are welcome at the table.

Zion has a usual pattern of communion on the first and third Sundays of the month and also on Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, and other festive days in the church year.

  • In the sanctuary, the communion on the first Sunday is typically served at the altar rails giving all communicants a chance to kneel in thankfulness for this gift given for us.
  • On the third Sunday of the month and also at outdoor worship, communion is served by intinction. Intinction means dipping the communion bread or wafer into the cup of wine so that both elements are taken together.
  • During outdoor worship in the summer, communion is also available to those who choose to join worship from their cars near the outdoor seating area.
  • Communion is celebrated on the first Monday of the month during summer months at the worship in the historic Marysville church.

Gluten-free wafers, individual communion packs and grape juice are always available.

A communion class for children and youth is offered yearly in late winter. Children who have not received communion instruction are asked to fold their hands for the blessing.
