Student Spotlight: Alexis Rademacher

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

My parents are Nate and Stacie Rademacher and I have two younger sisters, Makayla and Aubrey Rademacher. Growing up, I have always been involved in my church. Some of the activities include Sunday school, confirmation, and youth group. In my personal life I can usually be found reading a book. My other passions include baking and hanging with friends. Every summer since I was born I can be found at my cabin. I have always enjoyed tubing, and in recent years I have loved being able to sit in a hammock by the shore and reading.

I plan on going to the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse and will be majoring in accounting.

My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10:

do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

One thing I wish I could tell my younger self is to try new things and don’t be so afraid of failure.

One of my favorite youth group memories would have to be when we had done an outdoor movie. I love being outdoors and I love watching movies so that experience combined two things that I like to do all while being able to hang out with my friends. Youth group has always been very important to me, and because I have been going to youth group ever since I was in ninth grade, this summer will be a little hard going off to college and not seeing all of the amazing people that attend youth group every Wednesday.

One thing I love about myself is how dedicated I become when I am involved in things.

I think having a strong faith means that we are putting all of our trust in God and knowing that he has always had a plan for us. It’s knowing that God is always with us, even if we don’t always know it.

My favorite God moment would be when I was on my mission trip to Colorado. One of the things we had the opportunity to do was going on a hike at the ranch we were staying at in the mountains. We were trying to hike to a lake that was a couple of miles away. The walk was pretty far, and eventually, it started raining while we were trying to get to our final destination. I was starting to get very tired, but once we finished our hike to the lake the scenery was indescribable. Just beyond the lake were beautiful mountains, and because of the rain, there was a sort of fog that had shown up. It was by far one of the prettiest views in I have seen, and just knowing that God had created the beauty and peace of that land was very memorable.
