Serving in Guatemala
Zion members Michael Burgdorf and Blair Solberg will be traveling to Guatemala for 10 days this June with Side-by-Side Ministries. Side-by-Side Ministries is a charitable organization that is run by Terry Munoz, a Buffalo local.
Michael and Blair will be traveling with a group of other Buffalo youth. They will be staying in an orphanage with 400 abandoned Guatemalan youth. The orphanage, located near Antigua Bay, takes in abandoned youth and gives them a loving home and educates them from infancy years until the end of high school. While there, Michael and Blair will assist in digging out an area that the orphanage can use for doing laundry. Also, they will be interacting with all of the children throughout the week to spread God’s love.
They feel very blessed to have been given this fantastic opportunity. If anyone wants to help out, donations will be accepted. Tax deductible donations are payable to Side-by-Side Ministries, a non-profit organization. Contact Michael or Blair for more information. 100% of these donations will go to scholarships that will be given to the oldest of the orphans whom are planning to attend college but lack the funds.
On behalf of the whole group, they request your prayers for safety and that they can have a positive impact on an area that deserves our love.
