Springfest

Winterfest has become Springfest! It looks like 70’s and sunny this Sunday March 18!
Let’s make the best of the early warm weather and enjoy some time outside!
Get the bikes tuned up, work on your basketball skills and enjoy the first outdoor bounce house action of the spring!
- 2:30pm – Outdoor activities start – We’re blocking off part of the parking lot to ride bikes and shoot hoops. The inflatables will be out as well!
- 3:00pm – Indoor Concert with Tim and Carol Duo (Tim Lungstrom & Carol Moore)
- 3:45pm - Chili Entries Due
- 4:00pm – Chili tasting and cook-off
- 4:30pm – Chili judging and potluck dinner
- 5:30pm – Bonfire with hot chocolate, s’mores and cookies (conditions permitting)
Don’t forget to bring bikes and helmets for the kids, your favorite chili to share/compete (or cornbread/side if you aren’t the chili type), s’mores stuff and roasting sticks
The highlight of the event will be throwing down the culinary gauntlet with our first Chili Cook-off with a celebrity panel of judges and prizes in a variety of categories: White Chili, Red Chili, and Vegetarian Chili.
Special prizes will be awarded for: Most Norwegian (least spicy), Meat Lover’s, Three Alarm (spiciest), Most Creative, Least Imaginative (congrats!), Just like Momma used to make it, Healthiest, Unhealthiest, Blue Ribbon best.
This event is for all ages and for all people! Alternate food available for younger kids without chili appetites! Join us March 18 for a great afternoon of fun and fellowship as we celebrate the great frozen unfrozen north!
