Meet the Council: Steve Peterson

Steve Peterson recently completed a standard 3-year term on the church council and is currently serving a 1-year term to fill an open position. He is the chair of the council.

Please tell us about your family:

I am married to Kathy, who is a member of St Francis Catholic Church. We have two adult children, Eric and Tina, who are both married with two children each. Our grandchildren are 15, 13, 12, and 8 years old and all live in the north metro area.

Where do you work?

I work for Archway Marketing Services located in Rogers. I am the Senior Manager of Facilities (I believe the Senior portion of the title means I’m old). I have worked in warehouse operations all of my career.

What are some of the ways that you have been involved with Zion’s ministries?

I am currently on the Global Mission and Stewardship committees. In the past I have served on the Building Committee, capital fundraising committees, and various special task forces. I have enjoyed all the different committees and the interactions with others.

Why do you serve on the Church Council?

I believe I am relatively organized and have leadership skills. I would say I am a doer and enjoy being involved. The council provides a great avenue for understanding how Zion functions.
