“A new command I give you: Love one  another..  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

In December, the Sunday School students studied John 13:34 and the command of Jesus to “love one another,” and followed up by partnering with Food for Friends in ‘giving presence’ to those in our church who could use some extra Christmas cheer.

Phase 1 of Operation John 13:34 was completed on December 4, when Sunday School classes baked cookies to be added to prepared meals that would be sent out into the community the following week.

Though many witnessed, and even experienced, the organized chaos, it was very successful.  The Sunday School kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy making cookies and candies for people who could use some holiday love—thanks kids!  Many, many thanks to all who helped with this event, are helping with the remaining events, have nominated recipients, and have donated funds to this project.
