Cutting for Stone

The Zion Book Club selection for September is Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. The group will meet on Monday, September 12, at 7pm in the Library.

Cutting for Stone is a popular book club choice about the unlikely, perhaps “fated” success of two brothers who are surgeons in Ethiopia.  One reviewer of the book writes, “Are you your brother’s keeper?…Throughout this magnificent novel, this question is answered affirmatively over and over again.
