Prayer Shawl Ministry

posted by Angela on November 22, 2010

You created every part of me, knitting me in my mother’s womb.

For such handiwork, I praise you. Awesome this great wonder. ~ Psalm 139: 13-14

A prayer shawl is meant to symbolize the love and embrace of God. Each shawl is lovingly made and prayed over and those who receive the shawls continue to be held in prayer.

If you are interested in helping restart the prayer shawl ministry at Zion, you are invited to join Pastor Karri at 6pm on Wednesday, December 8, for an organizational gathering. You need not be an experienced knitter or a crocheter to be part of this ministry. Those wishing to learn how to knit or crochet, as well as those interested in other aspects of the ministry such as coordinating supplies, prayer, packaging, and delivering completed shawls are encouraged to join us.. If you are interested in this ministry but unable to attend the meeting on December 8, please contact Pastor Karri.
